1-2-3,1-2-3,1-2-3,1-2 repeat for about 5 it the 11 jam.

Those '81 NYE shows were quite something. Jerry's voice was still sweet and smooth, check out the Black Pete. Jerry's guitar was talking to me throughout these shows. I was such a newb, 20 years old and I thought I was worldly and wise...hah!

These were my first camp out for multiple nights shows. We were front row each night, including NYE - which was a struggle of mammoth proportions..

Watching the sharks rip off the stoners - keep your eye on the queen!

Not as easy as one might think considering the circumstances.

Sleep deprivation is a powerful psychedelic drug!

and this was the talk of the town:

Show #5...should have been #6 but I was an idiot and skipped 9/12/81 - my #1 regret from all the things that happened from 12/31/80 - 5/29/95.

Different good times with 1979 being last year you could camp for free at the South end of the Kaiser. Totally great scene !
Played it last night. Brent first New Years too....

Since Big Brother began watching many of us got motel rooms across the bay.
